Multigas calibrator with GPT, ozone & self re-generable zero air generator

The multigas calibrator with GPT, ozone and self re-generable zero air generator, Sonimix 3012/3022, is an instrument designed to calibrate manually or by remote control up to 6 monitors installed in an air pollution monitoring station, such as SO2, HC, BTX, CO, NOx and O3.
The Sonimix 3012/3022 is equipped with
– an inlet for high concentration mixtures of diluted gases such as NO, NO2, SO2, CO, HC, BTX or mixtures of several compatible polluants in the same cylinder.
– a zero air generator composed of an internal compressor with self re-generable filters that removes moisture, O3, NOx, SO2, HC, BTX and optionally CO and CH4.
– a binary gas dilutor with two inlets (diluted gas and air), based on sonic nozzles (ISO 6145-6 standard)
The ozone generator is regulated by UV-light feedback and compensated from the atmospheric pressure and ambient temperature variations, with alarm on the drift of UV-light as well as the circuits for the GPT.

How to calibrate gas analyzers within an air monitoring station?

The Sonimix 6000 (C1 and C2) and Sonimix 3022/3012 are all-in-one multigas calibrators that integrate a gas mixing module, an ozone generator and a zero-air generator in a single compact enclosure.

They provide a complete solution for the calibration of SO₂, O₃, NOx, CO, and hydrocarbon analyzers. By generating zero air internally, these instruments eliminate the need for an external carrier gas supply, simplifying installation and reducing operating costs.

Calibrator or gas mixer: which one should you choose based on your application?

The term “calibrator” is often used when the primary application is the calibration of a gas analyzer or sensor. The term “gas mixer” is more commonly used when the objective is to generate a specific gas mixture.

Generating a gas mixture can serve different purposes, such as supplying an instrument, simulating a process gas, or calibrating an analyzer or sensor. In many cases, a gas mixer and a calibrator are essentially the same device, with the terminology depending mainly on the intended application.

Is it suitable for audit or official regulatory inspection environments?

Does the system require periodic maintenance or frequent recalibration?

The Sonic Nozzle technology provides unmatched stability, resulting in minimal drift and a recommended service interval of two years.

Does the system reduce logistics and gas storage costs?

Yes, our gas mixer helps reduce the number of gas cylinders required. Using a single high-concentration gas cylinder, the gas mixer can generate multiple concentration levels by dilution with a carrier gas.

This reduces the number of cylinders needed, lowers costs, and simplifies the associated logistics and cylinder management.

Can the system operate in continuous mode (24/7)?

Some customer are running our system in their production (24/7), no problem.

Does the system feature advanced functions, such as integrated ozone generation for Gas Phase Titration (GPT) of nitrogen oxides (NOx)?

The Sonimix 6000 (C1 and C2) or 3022/3012 integrates a module to do GPT and calibrate Nox analyser.

Can solenoid cylinder switching valves be directly controlled via the software?

Yes, all valves within the system are controlled automatically by the software.

Does the software log all events (flows, cylinder changes, errors) to ensure traceability and audit compliance?

Yes, the log allows to track the operational events.

Is it possible to program automatic multi-point calibration sequences?

Yes, all devices include a sequence mode which allows to build a calibration sequence to automatize a calibration process.

Is an accredited calibration certificate provided for the entire system?

LNI Swissgas is accredited according to ISO/IEC 17025 for flow measurement calibrations. An ISO/IEC 17025 calibration certificate can be supplied with every device.
